ABC College of English (ABC) was delighted with the news that Immigration New Zealand will start accepting and processing off-shore visa applications from July 31 2022. We are very much looking forward to welcoming students back to ABC and to Queenstown on our range of courses. Late last year ABC was purchased by renowned Queenstown Resort College (QRC) an NZQA category 1 provider of high-quality tourism and hospitality management education. As a result ABC now operates out of a shared campus, QRC House, centrally located in Queenstown CBD and right next to the scenic Queenstown Botanical Gardens. This modern 5 floor, purpose-built campus features 8 classrooms, a board room, student library, computer room / listening lab, demonstration suite and student cafe. In addition to QRC House, ABC students now have access to one of QRC’s student residence, Shotover Lodge. Conveniently located at the base of Coronet Peak ski area and only 7-minute bus ride to our campus, QRC House, the accommodation features: At Shotover Lodge we take the safety and wellbeing of our students seriously and have 24/7 management oversight at the residences to ensure students have access to assistance when required. Responsible for the management of daily life at the lodge, the onsite managers also work with elected student assistants (SA’s) to organise a variety of activities for the lodge community. The sense of belonging and connectedness afforded through these activities provides excellent opportunity for language students to mix with other students outside of the classroom environment and to practice their English in everyday social situations.
